Everyone asks me how did you ever come up with this company?

Although I have always had a passionate desire to create and have my own business it is something that developed virtually without my planning...

Let me take you back to 1999 when I decided to open a small gift store.

After much research in finding unique and different gifts to offer my customers,  I also wanted to carry an exclusive candle line that was anything but Yankee Candle. The reason being was that Yankee candle was not only everywhere but the black soot from the paraffin wax had detrimental effects on consumers who burned them. Health issues were rising up and  since I had a strong background and interest in alternative medicine and natural products, I searched high and low for an alternative candle line. One that offered natural ingredients.

However, my findings were not satisfactory....

Although I found numerous candle companies that stated they offered "Natural Candles," they really were candles disguised in a jar with a natural label claim!

The same paraffin wax carrying essential fragrance oils, therefore claiming the candles as being natual..

Disappointed, I decided to search high and low and was determined to find something healthy... By mid 1999 I came across Soy Wax being produced by an Iowa farmer and soy candles marketed as a new, biodegradable healthy alternative to paraffin wax candles. Biodegradable, no black soot, safer and healthier to burn in the home using unleaded wicks.

I was ecstatic but only to find that large, well established other candle companies and supply houses twere totally against my findings. Telling me that soy wax was much too soft, would never adhere to a jar, fragrance would never be obsorbed properly... blah, blah, blah.. 

Ending with the conclusion that I could never make a quality candle. Some even told me Soy Wax Candles would just be a fad like gel candles.

But deep in my heart I knew I could do it and was determined then to prove everyone wrong! I was on a mission... As a self taught candle developer / manufacturer I produced an Amazing Candle line called Everglow Candle Company! I sold many candles and converted quite a few Yankee Candle die hards over time and although the course of life took me down an unpleasant path, (for a time) it doesn't change the passion and creativeness I have to continue in the venue of developing a solid company in the arena of safe natural products, for you, your home and our environment.

So where did skin care and bath and body products come into the picture?

Remember my little gift store..Well since  I carried 3 separate lines of bath and body items, my customers use to ask me if I carried a soap or lotion in a certain candle fragrance.. Since I didn't make the bath and body products I couldn't offer any fragrances that matched my candle line. My AhA moment! II knew then I would have to learn to make soaps, lotions etc. so I could convert my popular candle fragrances to include other high quality items. That's how my quest for a natural bath and body line came to fruition.
Along that path came a desire to create a safe and natural quality skin care line that was not only anti-aging but a line that actually worked and stood behind its claims... So here it is Amazing Face!! A new Acne Line that is backed by rave reviews, is no doubt on its way to proving that a small business has the power and ammunition to provide results even though it is being cultivated in small batches, in a small kitchen, in Northern Maine...
